Hey everyone!
Today's post is on the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick. I remember first seeing this at Generation Beauty and initially dismissing it as "another liquid lipstick". I think given the trend of liquid lipsticks coming out, it can get overwhelming. While I was at The Makeup Show LA, I tried the Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipsticks out while at Frends and oh my gosh it was like a revelation.
Basically these are absolutely worth a try if you can get your hands on them. The beauty community seems to have discovered them because they're sold out on the Jouer website but thankfully it seems like you can get some of the shades from other websites. I do hope they'll restock them soon though.
Where to Purchase: Jouer Cosmetics, Nordstrom
Price: $18 for 6mL/.2 oz
Do they test on animals?: The company does not test on animals.
Packaging: The long-lasting lip creme comes in a square tube with a doefoot applicator with a groove on the side that allows it to slide together with other Jouer products. You can see how it interlocks with another Jouer bronzer and lipgloss.
Jouer describes the formula as a "weightless, long-wear liquid lipstick [that] offers full coverage color with a soft-touch finish that glides on smoothly and lasts all day"
The formula really hits all those points. It's got a thin, light, and creamy consistency. The formula applies easily onto the lips and dries with a matte finish. I do think the packaging pulls out a little too much product onto the doefoot so it can give you a super matte finish; wiping off the doefoot lets you still have opaque coverage and a matte finish without it looking ultra matte.
Thus far it's been one of my favorite liquid to mattes due to the fact that the formula feels lightweight, is transfer-proof, and NOT sticky once dry. It takes about a minute to fully dry and once dry it is absolutely smooth. My lips don't stick together and the formula doesn't feel tacky at all. It does have a true matte finish and the opacity is great.
Wear Time:
Like I mentioned above, it is transfer proof on me but manages to feel lightweight. My lips don't feel tight or dried out. I can get about seven hours of wear, less if I am eating something oily.
Swatch:
Dulce de Leche is described as a "matte cool nude"
Fair warning that it dries down darker than it appears in the tube or when you first apply it. I remember when I first applied it thinking "oh man did I get the wrong color?" because it looked so light but it does dry down darker. I also think it pulls a little more baby pink on me, though the shade still manages to be pretty flattering on my skintone.
I'm so pleased with this range of liquid lipstick. I think the color is gorgeous and the formula is top notch. I dislike liquid lipsticks that stay sticky or feel super heavy and thankfully this Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick is neither. It feels lightweight, matte, and is transfer-proof. No wonder it's been selling out on the website!
Are you currently a liquid lipstick fan? Which formulas have you liked if you've tried any out?

Love the shade on you. I'm not a fan of liquid mattes, especially ultra mattes, on myself, but I love Jouer so who knows?
