This week's Question of the Week is on foundation application. Do you use a brush, a sponge, or something else like your fingers? Feel free to share in the comments!
For me, I'm on the Beauty Blender bandwagon. I know $20 is a lot to spend on a sponge but dang I've really been enjoying applying foundation with it. I have applied liquids and creams both while the sponge is damp or dry and like both methods so far. It's a big investment for sure but it is worth a try. I would suggest you get the black pro sponge though, the pink stains like no other!
I I use my beauty blender, and I use brushes. It honestly depends on my mood, and the amount of time I have.
ReplyDeleteDepends on my mood... I love my Crown Brush buffing brush for liquid foundation because it really gets a smooth finish, but I like sponges for bb creams!
ReplyDeleteBrush usually. Fingers on lazy days, and only rarely do I use a sponge.
ReplyDeleteI use a brush. I've tried it all and right now the brush is my jam :)
ReplyDeleteI use a brush - I wanna experiment with a sponge tho :)
ReplyDeleteI use a brush as the only foundation I use is a light powder one.
ReplyDeleteBoth. I do it differently all the time.
ReplyDeleteBrush. I wish someone would gift me a beauty blender, lol!
ReplyDeleteI have been using brushes so far, but I think I should try beauty blender.
ReplyDeletemakeup sponges all the way for my face
ReplyDeleteI like to apply with a brush and then smooth it out with a beauty blender/sponge.
ReplyDeleteSPONGE all the way!! It is a necessity for my dry skin. I wish I would have known about the black sponge though, I have the pink one and it is mega stained.
ReplyDeleteFoundation brush! I actually like using a flat kabuki brush!
ReplyDeleteAll of the above, depending on what product I am using!
ReplyDeleteI switch between sponge and fingers most of the time.
ReplyDeleteI was using a dupe of the Beauty Blender, and liked it, but cleaning it was a pain. Right now, I'm using buffing brushes, and I love them.
ReplyDeleteI use all methods possible.
ReplyDeleteI used to apply foundation with my fingers, but after getting a flat kabuki brush I rarely ever do that. I did buy some mini sponges recently that I want to try out though.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of the beauty blender
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the Urban Decay Good Karma brush!
ReplyDeleteI kinda use both brush and sponge depending on the effect i want to achieve. I use brush for full coverage and dampened sponge when i want to go for a natural dewy look.
ReplyDeleteThe sponges are okay but I really prefer a brush.
ReplyDeleteI use both, but prefer a brush
ReplyDeleteI have been dying for a beauty blender
ReplyDeleteI use a bit of everything but I admit I don't have a beauty blender, just cheap imitations.
